Welcome to the first day of Computer Fluency!
Today we went through the basics of computers. The whole entire time during this lesson I kept thinking that if my father were in this class today he would not know a single word of what our teacher was talking about. My dad just recently discovered youtube about a year ago but more importantly over Christmas break he recently discovered that it is possible to still obtain youtube and high sound quality as he took the laptop outside to smoke his cigar.
We also watched a link about an incredibly smart computer on Jeopardy. I can't wait to show my grandma this video because she will be amazed. We once tricked my grandma because Jeopardy airs 30 minutes in the south before it does in the midwest, so my uncle knew all the answers because my aunt texted them to him. My Grandma was convinced he was so smart and he told her if was because of omega-3 pills he was taking so she went to sam's club the next day and bought a big tub of them.
I wonder today how many older generation people know how to operate a computer? It would be an interesting statistic to discover.
Here's the link to the jeopardy computer!
